                         Our Collections include:

 Franconia started producing iron in 1805.
We have an extensive collection of photos, records, and artifacts of the two companies.

Meredith Givens donated a major collection of 19th and early 20th century books on iron mining and manufacturing.   
The Society has an important collection of Old Man material, including papers of  Luke Brooks, the man credited with "discovering" the Old Man.
Learn more about the Old Man and the project to create a "lasting legacy".
 
The reference library includes early White Mountain books, town histories, and more.   
Franconia and Sugar Hill were major resort destinations, and the collections include post cards, photos, and ephemera related to the several hotels.
One of the major hotels was the Profile House.
